In the 3rd Test match between Pakistan and Australia, Australia has decided to win the toss against Pakistan. Pakistan made a change in the team and Faheem Ashraf has been replaced by Naseem Shah. Azhar Ali is playing a Test match at Lahore’s home ground for the first time.

The last Test match was played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore in 2009 which started on March 1. On the third day of the game, when the Sri Lankan cricket team was on its way to the stadium for the match, the bus of the Sri Lankan team was attacked by terrorists on the way but the driver Mehr Muhammad Khalil, showed courage and bravery, managed to get the bus out of there. ۔ Thus, the match was ended after 2 days of play. For the first time in 13 years, Gaddafi Stadium is hosting a Test match.

In addition, Pakistan Cricket Board and Cricket Australia unanimously decided to hand over the hosting of ODI and T20 International matches in the series to Lahore. The two boards decided on Saturday morning, March 19 after consultation. According to the decision, the scheduled 3 ODI matches between Pakistan and Australia will be played on March 29, 31, and April 2 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The only scheduled T20 International match between the two teams on April 5 will also be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The ODIs will start at 3 pm local time and the T20 Internationals will start at 8:30 pm local time.
