Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that all the four matches of Pakistan and Australia have been shifted to Lahore in Rawalpindi. An important meeting was held in Islamabad regarding the transfer of Pak-Australia matches from Rawalpindi to Lahore. Officials from the security agencies, including PCB officials, attended the meeting and reviewed the current political situation and other issues.

Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that Pak-Australia matches of Rawalpindi have been shifted to Lahore. The Pakistan-Australia ODI series was scheduled to be played in Rawalpindi on March 31, 29 and April 3, while the only T20 of the series was to be played in Rawalpindi on April 5. The management of Pakistan Cricket Board was of the view that an early decision was required for the matches regarding logistics, ticketing and security of the players.
