In the first match of the ODI series being played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan decided to field after winning the toss. The visiting team scored 313 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.
Australia’s opener Travis Head, batting aggressively, completed a half-century off just 32 balls and then a century off 70 balls. He was dismissed for 101 runs, including 12 fours and three sixes in his innings. Captain Aaron Finch (23), Ben McDermott (55), Marnos LeBushin (25), Marcus Stevens (26), Alex Carey (4), Shaun Abbott (14) were all out and Cameron Green (40) was not out. For Pakistan, Haris Rauf and Zahid Mehmood took 2 wickets each while Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdal Shah took one wicket each.
