National team captain Babar Azam equaled Virat Kohli’s record of fastest 3000 runs by scoring his 27th half-century in T20 cricket. Virat Kohli and Babar Azam crossed this milestone in 81 innings. Babar Azam played an unbeaten innings of 87 runs off 59 balls in the sixth T20 match of the series. Babar Azam also holds the record of scoring the second fastest 8000 runs in the T20 format in the recent series.
Talking to reporters after the match, Babar Azam said that due to the dew falling in the Gaddafi Stadium, the ball remains wet, England batted well in the first 6 overs in pursuit of the target. He said that as a team Pakistan players should not lose confidence, as a bowling unit it is important to put pressure on the other team.
