Bangladesh Cricketers to Exit PSL 10 Amid Rising Indo-Pak Tensions

Due to unfavourable conditions in the area, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is arranging the quick return of pacer Nahid Rana and spinner Rishad Hossain, presently playing the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Bangladeshi media said the players would be flown back to Bangladesh as soon as Pakistan’s airspace opens; another source claimed the cricket body is ready to schedule their swift departure should a window open tonight.

The BCB further said that it has regular contact with the Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad and both players as well as the Pakistan Cricket Board.

“BCB is working with the pertinent authorities to make sure that all plans are in place to enable the ultimate departure of the players from Pakistan in a timely and safe manner,” the BCB news release said.

The development followed the PCB’s announcement to move the last PSL 10 games to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), citing growing regional conflict.

“The PCB confirms that the remaining fixtures of the HBL PSL X have been moved to the UAE,” the cricket board stated in a statement.

The statement went on, “The exact schedule of matches, outlining the dates and venues, will be shared in due course.”

Consequently, plans have been set for a special jet to move authorities and foreign players from Islamabad to Dubai.

Overseas players will leave first phase; local players will leave second phase.
