Chairman Rameez Raja instructed that PCB will not pay for anthem song

Chairman PCB has set a condition for the title (anthem) song for the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Sources said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Rameez Raja had instructed the PSL marketing team that the PCB will not pay for the anthem song and find a separate sponsor.

Sources said that the members of the PSL marketing team said that there was less time left for the league to start, and it would take time to find a sponsor and create an anthem. On the other hand, sources have revealed that the management has also contacted singer Atif Aslam for the anthem song of PSL 7. It may be recalled that two weeks ago, a record bid was made for the broadcasting rights of the 2022 and 2023 editions of PSL.

Similarly, according to the PCB, Daraz had bid 175% more than the previous cycle to purchase the league’s live streaming rights. It should be noted that Pakistan Super League season 7 will start from January 27. The first phase matches of PSL will be played in Karachi, while the second phase will be played in Lahore. The events final will take place on February 27 at Gaddafi Stadium.
