Director Health Karachi Dr. Akram Sultan told SAMAA Digital that arrangements are being made for PSL 7 on the instructions of Sindh Health Secretary Zulfiqar Shah and Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon. A mobile medical emergency unit has been set up at National Stadium Karachi. Emergency beds are also available, but the number of beds can be increased to 10 if needed.

“The emergency mobile unit will have paramedical staff and nurses including male and female doctors. We will also have orthopedics, orthopedics, eye specialists, neurologists, and cardiologists,” he added.

Dr. Akram Sultan said that God willing if any of the players or spectators need any emergency, we will have all the experts present. The mobile emergency unit is being supervised by Deputy Director Health Dr. Ghani Sheikh.

The Director of Health Karachi said that PCR tests have been carried out on 91 staff members of the stadium out of which 9 employees have been confirmed to be infected with Coronavirus. Traffic is also restricted.

He said that PCR tests of PSL players residing in private hotels have also been done, DHO South and his team are present in the hotel. Corona tests of the DHO team have also been conducted.

According to which 2 players, 2 team officials, and 40 employees of the hotel staff have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus. Affected players, team officials, and hotel staff have also been isolated. On the other hand, Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer said that the tournament will start on Thursday as per schedule, all foreigners are coming to Pakistan.
