India vs West Indies: Test Series Set for October 2025

With dates in Mohali and Kolkata, the Indian cricket team is expected to host the West Indies for a two-match Test series in October 2025.

Starting on October 10, the series will start in Mohali from October 2 to 6 then the second Test at the famous Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Fresh off their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 victory in Dubai, India will move to the longest game format following the end of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Previously finishing as runners-up against New Zealand and Australia, India has also made two ICC World Test Championship finals. Still placing third in the standings behind South Africa and Australia, they fell short of landing a third consecutive final berth in the 2023–25 cycle.

Starting June 11, 2025, the Proteas ranked highest on the table will play Australia in the final at Lord’s, England.

After suffering a home whitewash against New Zealand and then a 3-1 series loss to Australia away, India’s campaign was thrown off and their prospects of making another final were dashed.

India will also schedule a five-match Test series against England on home ground from June 20 to August 4, 2025 prior to the Test series against the West Indies.
