Multan Sultans defeated Islamabad United by 20 runs | PSL 7

In the eighth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans defeated Islamabad United by 20 runs for the fourth consecutive victory in the event. In the match played at National Stadium Karachi, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan won the toss and was elected to field first. Multan Sultans scored 217 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

Rally Russo and Tim David played offensive innings for Multan Sultans, both scoring 67 and 71 runs respectively. In pursuit of the target, Islamabad United’s openers provided an aggressive start but the wickets kept falling from time to time. Among other players, Alex Hales (23), Paul Sterling (19), Rehmanullah Garbaz, and Asif Ali (15) stood out.

For Multan Sultans, Khushdal Shah took 4 wickets, David Valley 3 wickets while Anwar Ali and Roman Raees took one wicket each. Earlier, the Sultans had scored 217 runs thanks to the aggressive batting of Riley Russo and Tim David.
