In the 23rd match of Pakistan Super League (PSL), Multan Sultans defeated Karachi Kings by 7 wickets after a thrilling contest. In the match being played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Karachi Kings captain Babar Azam decided to bat after winning the toss. In the allotted 20 overs, the Kings team managed to score 174 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

In pursuit of the target, Multan Sultans openers Shaun Masood and Mohammad Rizwan shared 100 runs for the first wicket, but Shaun fell victim to Mir Hamza by scoring 45 runs. The captain of Multan Sultans batted aggressively and scored 76 off 56 balls with eight fours in his innings. In the closing moments of the match for the Sultans, Khushdal Shah scored an aggressive 20 off 8 balls while Tim David scored 13 and Riley Russo 14 runs.

Mir Hamza and Chris Jordan took one wicket each for Karachi Kings. Earlier, the Kings scored 174 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to responsible innings by Sharjeel Khan and Joe Clarke. Babar Azam and Sharjeel Khan started the innings for Karachi Kings. However, Babar lost the wicket by scoring only 2 runs. However, in the second wicket partnership, Joe Clarke and Sharjeel showed excellent batting and added 72 runs.
