New Zealand once again beat Bangladesh in the tri-nation T20 tournament. In the match played at Haigley Oval in Christchurch, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to field which did not prove beneficial for the Bengal Tigers. Batting first, New Zealand scored 208 runs for 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. On behalf of New Zealand, Dion Conway scored 64 and Glenn Phillips scored 60 runs, Finn Allen scored 32 runs, Martin Guptill scored 34 runs and Mark Chapman scored 6 runs.

For Bangladesh, Ibadah Hussain and Mohammad Saifuddin took 2, 2 while Shariful Islam dismissed one player. In response to the target of 209 runs, the Bangladesh team could only score 160 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted overs. On behalf of Bangladesh, captain Shakib Al Hasan scored 70 while Laton Das and Soumyasarkar scored 23 and 23 runs respectively. Najam Hussain Shanto scored 11, Yasir Ali 6, Afif Hussain 4, Noorul Hasan 2 while Mossadegh Hussain scored 9 and Mohammad Saifuddin 3 runs. New Zealand’s Adam Mullen took 3, Tim Southee and Michael Braswell 2 and 2 respectively.
