Pakistan Cricket Board announced 93 squads for Under-19 Tournament

The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced 93 squads of City Cricket Associations of Balochistan, Central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northern, Sindh, and Southern Punjab for the City Cricket Association Under-19 Tournament. The 50-over tournament will run from May 21 to June 4. The squads announced for the tournament include players born on or after September 1, 2003, or before September 1, 2007.

This tournament will provide ample opportunity for the young players to showcase their talents, which will enable them to make it to the Pakistan Junior League in addition to the PCB U-19 3D and U-19 ODI tournaments. All squads are selected on the basis of merit through open trials. The players who have performed well in previous CCA Under-19 tournaments and still meet the age limit have been included in the squads this time as well.

The PCB will take precautionary measures to protect the health of the players and encourage them to cover their heads with floppy hats and use wet towels during the match. In this regard, the working hours of the matches have also been adjusted keeping in view the weather. All matches will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be a break in the matches from 1 pm to 4 pm, which will start again at 4 pm and continue until 6:30 pm. PCB partner Kirk HQ will score live in the tournament.
