On the second day of the Lahore Test, the Australian team resumed their first incomplete innings at 232 for 5 and the remaining half returned to the pavilion with an increase of 159 runs. The visiting team scored a total of 391 runs in the first innings.

Alex Carey and Cameron Green shared a 107-run stand for the 7th wicket, both scoring half-centuries, with Cameron Green scoring 79 and Alex Carey 67. For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah took 4 wickets each while Noman Ali and Sajid Khan took one wicket each. The Pakistan team scored 90 runs for the loss of one wicket in their first innings till the end of the second day’s play. Abdullah Shafiq (45) and Azhar Ali (30) are on the crease, which will resume Pakistan’s incomplete innings on the third day of play.
