National wrestlers performed brilliantly in the 4th World Mass Wrestling Championship. Pakistan won the third position in the Wrestling World Championship held in Russia. Ali Azhar of Pakistan won a silver medal in the 70 kg category.

Waqas Afzal and Mohammad Saad also won silver medals. Shiraz Ali won a bronze medal in the 65 kg category. Mohammad Alam won the silver medal in the 90 kg category. Russia came first, Kyrgyzstan second, and Pakistan third in the World Mass Wrestling Championship. Athletes from 45 countries participated in the Mass Wrestling Championship.
