It was also informed that at present the PCB has reserves of Rs 15 billion as against Rs 12 billion in the previous financial year. In addition, the cricket board has held several meetings this week regarding the central contract. It is proposed to award the contract in terms of red ball and white ball format.
There is talk of awarding contracts to the players in terms of 2 formats. It is proposed to increase the number of players in the emerging category and now 3 players are included in the emerging category. It is proposed to create funds for iconic players so that they will be paid from the funds but they will at least play in leagues. Cricketers are paid less than the world. This gap has to be reduced.
