Scotland beat West Indies by 42 runs | ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022

Scotland beat two-time champions West Indies by 42 runs in the first leg of the T20 World Cup. In the first phase of the T20 World Cup, West Indies won the toss and invited Scotland to bat. Scotland scored 160 runs for the loss of 56 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Scotland’s opening batsman George Munsey was the most prominent, he played an innings of 66 runs. For West Indies, Jason Holder and Al-Zari Joseph took 2, 2 while Odin Smith took one wicket. West Indies were given a target of 161 runs to win but the entire team was bowled out for 118 runs. Jason Holder top scored with 38 runs. On behalf of Scotland, Mark Watt gave 12 runs to 3, Broadwell and Michael Lesk took 2, 2 wickets, Josh Davey and Sufyan Sharif got one wicket each.
