The closure of departmental cricket by WAPDA will affect critical players, including star cricketers Salman Butt, Muhammad Asif, Wahab Riaz, and Kamran Akmal. It may be recalled that WAPDA Sports Board took this decision after the hopes of revival of institutional cricket were utterly dashed.
