The warm-up match between Pakistan and Afghanistan before the start of the Super 12 stage of the T20 World Cup has been rained out. In the warm-up match played in Brisbane, Australia, Pakistan won the toss and decided to field first.

Afghanistan scored 154 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Mohammad Nabi scored 51 runs, Ibrahim Zardan scored 35 runs and Usman Ghani scored 31 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf dismissed two players each while Muhammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan took one wicket each. As Pakistan started chasing the target, the weather started to take a turn for the worse. The third overs were going on and Pakistan had scored 19 runs for no loss when it rained. The game was stopped for some time but the rain did not stop and the match was called off. Pakistan had earlier lost to England by 6 wickets in the warm-up match.
