The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and the West Indies has been postponed after the Covid-19 cases came to light. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket West Indies have issued a joint statement saying that the series matches have been postponed to early June 2022 after five more positive cases came to light in the Caribbean squad’s coveted matches PCR testing. The three-match ODI series is part of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League. Cricket West Indies have said that they will field their best available players for the World Cup qualifiers against Pakistan. Before the T20 series, three West Indies players were infected with the coronavirus, while six more players and support staff tested positive yesterday, leaving the ODI series in jeopardy.<\/p>\n
The players and support staff for the Covid-19 include Sheldon Cottrell, Ruston Chase, Kyle Meyer, ShaiHope, Aqeel Hussain, Justin Graves, Assistant Coach Rudy Stoke and the team led by Dr. Akshai Man Singh. Before the start of the third T20<\/a> match between Pakistan and the West Indies, players and board officials were concerned, but the Caribbean board gave the green signal for the match.<\/p>\n
