Indian media have claimed that the Asia Cup will be played as per the previously announced dates, the Asian Cricket Council will announce the official transfer, ACC officials have ruled out a multi-team event in Sri Lanka.

According to Indian media, the ACC official says that the event is not possible in the current conditions of Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Cricket has also agreed to move the event. According to Indian media, Sri Lanka Cricket Secretary Mohan D’Silva is very likely to shift the Asia Cup from Sri Lanka to the UAE. It should be noted that the Asia Cup is scheduled from 27 August 2022 to 11 September 2022 in Sri Lanka.
