A comprehensive security plan has been drawn up for the second Test match between Pakistan and Australia. The second Test match between Pakistan and Australia is to be played in Karachi, for which the security division has drawn up a comprehensive security plan. The security plan has been formulated in a meeting chaired by DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed.

The meeting was attended by Commandant SSU Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqui, Additional Deputy Commissioner South Tabriz Murree, Wing Commander Sindh Rangers Zafar, Lieutenant Colonel Musaur Abbas, and Col Shakarzai of Pak Army. The meeting was also attended by all stakeholders including SSP East Qamar Raza Jaskani, Rangers, and PCB officials.
A total of 5276 police personnel will be on security duty out of which 1667 personnel of the security division including 1148 commandos of SSU will perform their duties. 1398 Traffic Police, 430 Special Branch, and 375 Rapid Response Force personnel will be deployed. Pak Army and Sindh Rangers personnel and other law enforcement personnel will also perform their duties.
Officers will be deployed at National Stadium, Karachi Airport, Routes, Practice Grounds, Parking lots, Hotels, and various other locations while expert snipers will also be deployed at key installations. SSU’s Special Command and Control Bus will be deployed at the National Stadium to monitor the surroundings of the stadium while aerial surveillance will also be carried out during the movement of teams.
A team of Special Weapons and Tactics (SW&T) will be on patrol around the stadium to deal with any emergencies. The entry of vehicles fitted with CNG cylinders and use of drone cameras will be strictly prohibited in the stadium premises. A parking point will be allotted at Hakim Saeed Ground near Baitul Mukarram Masjid University Road for the spectators coming to the National Stadium. Adjacent to the National Coaching Center, China Ground will be set aside for VIP parking.
