The second day of the Galle Test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka ended. Pakistan scored 191 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Pakistan still has 187 runs left to the trail, Salman Ali Agha was the top scorer with 62 off 126 balls, he was caught out by Prabath Jayasuriya, 145 by Mohammad Nawaz Ramish Mendis. After scoring 12 runs, Naroshan was caught out by Dick Villa. Pakistan openers Abdullah Shafiq and Imamul Haq started the innings and in the first over, Abdullah Shafiq was dismissed by Asitha Fernando for no runs, after which Imamul Haq and Babar Azam took the innings forward. Captain Babar Azam also returned to the pavilion for a total of 35 runs in the over.

The fifth wicket fell on 119 runs when Fawad Alam scored 24 runs off 69 balls and was lbw off Ramish Mendes. Earlier, Sri Lanka was bowled out for 378 runs in their first innings against Pakistan on the second day of the Galle Test. On the second day, Sri Lanka restarted their incomplete first innings at 315 runs with 6 out. Naroshan Dick Villa 42 and Donath Vela. Lage was on the wicket with 6 runs. However, Naseem Shah first guided Dick Villa to the pavilion for 51 and then Vela Lage for 11 runs, Ramesh Mendis scored 35 runs while Prabath Jayasuriya took the wicket of Yasir Shah for 8 runs.  On behalf of Pakistan, Naseem Shah and Yasir Shah dismissed 3 players, while Muhammad Nawaz got two wickets and Nauman Ali got one wicket. Dinesh Chandimal was the top scorer of the host team scoring 80 runs in 137 balls. Pakistan has a one-nil lead in the series.
