PCB appointed Australian batsman Matthew Hayden as mentor of Pakistan team

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Australian batsman Matthew Hayden as the mentor of the national team for a specific period. He will accompany the team in the World T20. According to the PCB, Matthew Hayden will join the national team on October 15 in Brisbane. The national team will arrive in Australia from New Zealand on October 15. Before that, the national team will participate in a tri-nation tournament in New Zealand.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Ramiz Raja has welcomed Matthew Hayden on his return to the national team management. Ramiz Raja expressed the possibility that Matthew Hayden’s return to national team management will be beneficial for the team as he has knowledge of Australian conditions and the game. Matthew Hayden expressed his happiness to return to the management of the national team and said that he is excited to rejoin the Pakistan cricket team. He also told that he is following the performance of Pakistan cricket team in Asia Cup as well. It should be noted that Australian batsman Matthew Hayden has previously worked with the Pakistan team in the ICCT20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates last year.
