The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released the details of the full international cricket season covering the next 12 months for the national men’s and women’s cricket teams. According to the PCB, five men’s and five women’s foreign cricket teams will tour Pakistan from May 2022 to May 2023. Meanwhile, the national men’s cricket team will play 7 Tests, 17 ODIs, and 25 Twenty20 Internationals. Out of these 7 Test matches included in the ICC World Test Championship, 2 will be played against Sri Lanka, 3 against England, and 2 against New Zealand. The 12 ODIs in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League will be played against the West Indies, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and the Netherlands.

During this period, the national cricket team will also participate in the ACCT Twenty20 Asia Cup and the IC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup. Apart from these two events in T20-style cricket, the Pakistan cricket team will also play 7 T20 International matches against England, 3 against West Indies, and 5 against New Zealand in the next 12 months. The New Zealand team will also play five Twenty20 Internationals, including five One-Day Internationals, on a tour of Pakistan in April 2023.
On the other hand, the national women’s cricket team will also get to play challenging cricket in the next 12 months, where they will have the best opportunity to showcase their talents. Meanwhile, the national women’s cricket team will play eight international series under the leadership of Bismillah Maroof. These international series include ICC Women’s Championship, ICC Women’s Twenty20 World Cup, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, and ACC Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup. Included.
The Sri Lankan women’s cricket team will arrive in Pakistan in May to play three ODIs. This will be the first time that Pakistan will host a match in the ICC Women’s Championship. The tour of the visiting team also includes three Twenty20 International matches. The national women’s cricket team will leave for China in September, where it will participate in the Asian Games. Then in October-November, the Irish women’s cricket team will visit Pakistan. The visiting team will play three ODIs and three T20 Internationals.
