Former national cricket team captain Shahid Afridi and speed star Shoaib Akhtar will be seen in action again. The former captain and Rawalpindi Express will be seen playing in the Legend League in Oman in 2022. Both the former cricketers will be part of the Asia Lions team.

In a press release, Legend League chief executive (CEO) Raman Raheja said that some other superstars from Asia Lions include Sanath Jayasuriya, Mathiya Murali Dharan, and Chaminda Vass Romesh Kalu Vethrana, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Azhar Mahmood, Opel. Big names like Tharanga, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Yousuf, Umar Gul, and Younis Khan will be part of the team.
The former head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri, will be the league commissioner. He said that he was excited to host it. Ravi Shastri said it is no less than a dream to see players like Afridi, Murali Dharan, Chamanda, and Shoaib Malik in one team. On the other hand, there will be two more teams in the league where India and other foreign cricketers will be seen playing. But their squad has not been announced yet.
