Viv Richards named former League spinner Abdul Qadir as the best spinner

Former West Indies cricketer and Quetta Gladiators mentor Sir Viv Richards have named former Pakistan League spinner Abdul Qadir as the best spinner. Sir Viv Richards visited the academy during the pre-match training session between Islamabad United and Gladiators on Saturday. He said:

“Abdul Qadir has been a great friend of mine. He established this academy long ago. I think he was a great leg-spinner. I hope this academy will make stars in the future too. ”

Sir Viv Richards said that:

“Naseem Shah, one of the best youth bowlers in the world came from this academy”.

“Best wishes to Abdul Qadir Academy”, said Vivian Richards.

AQICA, located in Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA), and Sir Viv Richards visited the academy during the Quetta Gladiators training session ahead of the Gladiators clash with Islamabad United on Saturday.

Abdul Qadir International Cricket Academy is named after the late Pakistan spin legend Abdul Qadir, who took 236 wickets in 67 Test matches, including five 10 wickets and 15 wickets. It should be noted that Abdul Qadir’s son Salman Qadir is now running the academy and working on the players.
