Brazilian goalkeeping coach Marcelo Costa Schroeder has been hired for Pakistan football team. The foreign coach has joined the ongoing training camp in Lahore. Marcelo has extensive coaching experience. He started his career with Junior Soccer in Sao Paulo Cup in 1994 and was associated with Green Planet until 1997.

Marcelo Costa Schröder holds AFC Level Three certifications in Goalkeeping Coaching under the Brazilian and Qatar Federations, and completed the FIFA Goalkeeping Coaching Course in 2010. Possessing international coaching certificates and professional experience, Marcelo has assisted the Pakistan Football Team in their preparations for the World Cup 2022 Qualifiers from February to November 2019. Marcelo says that he is very happy to be associated with the Pakistan team again and grateful to PFF for trusting in his abilities. He said that there is no lack of talent among the players, goals can be achieved with proper guidance and training.
