Batting first, Bangladesh scored 183 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs and had set Sri Lanka a target of 184 runs. Mehdi Hasan scored 38 and Afif Hussain scored 39 runs for Bangladesh, while Sri Lanka’s Vinandu Hasaranga and Chamika Karun Ratne took 2 and 2 respectively. Earlier at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Sri Lankan captain Dasan Shanka won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bat first.
